If you wear your hairpiece every day, you must shampoo and condition it at least once per week.
To properly shampoo, please comb through your piece all the way out to the ends before placing in the water. Always use a “hydrating” or moisture rich shampoo. As you wash the hair, make sure to keep all the hair going in the same direction! Do not “ball it up”, or allow the hairs to go in different
directions. Gently shampoo. Rinse thoroughly.

Apply a “hydrating” or moisture rich conditioner. The Garnier Fructis products seem to work well, and can be easily found at most local drug stores.Allow the conditioner to stay on the hair for at least 20 minutes, if possible. Rinse, rinse, rinse. If you have a curly or wavy piece, we recommend that you spray on a bit
of Garnier Fructis Curl Shaping Gel after you have done the final rinse, and while it is still damp. This really enhances the curl or wave pattern. Air dry.If your piece has straight hair, you may air dry, or blow dry.
Once completely dry, you may use a warm curling iron, or set with hot curlers. Never go to bed with your hairwet, as doing so may cause the hair to mat or tangle.

Remember, your fine hairpiece is handmade and hand knotted. Please do not use sharp objects at the base of your piece, as this may damage the delicate knotting. Always comb or brush gently!
With proper maintenance, your new piece will last for a long time. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns. We will be happy to help.
